Preserving the Lewis Bay Boathouse

News & Catboat Rescue

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to enable access to the water.

Won’t you join us?

Recently, we have focused on preserving the Lewis Bay Boathouse. This living classroom with it’s convenient access to the water serves as a base for on-the-water sailing and rowing programs.

Our long-term plan is to preserve a historically significant sailboat as our community “Flagship”.  A traditional catboat might serve as an ambassador to Cape Cod’s work boat heritage for the next generation.

As we develop our plans, we anticipate supporting the Sea Scouts and other community programs in order to increase participation in on-the-water education.
